Greenland, USA
Greenland USA is a compelling short-form documentary that journeys to the remote Arctic island to capture raw, unfiltered voices from everyday Greenlanders on the provocative question of their homeland potentially becoming a U.S. territory. Through intimate interviews and on-location glimpses of daily life in Nuuk and beyond, the film explores a range of perspectives—highlighting widespread resistance to annexation, deep attachment to their path toward greater autonomy or independence from Denmark, strong pride in cultural identity and self-determination, and occasional pragmatic or mixed views amid geopolitical pressures and discussions of security, resources, and economic futures. An open exploration of what Greenlanders themselves think about their island's place in the world.
